Lizzie at 4 months

We are all so in love with this girl!  She brightens up every room with her smile and her laugh is so contagious.  She is such a happy and content baby.  Mark and I know how truly blessed we are with her wonderful temperament.  Lizzie has started being able to interact with her toys and others a little bit more, so her sister has been playing with her a bit more.

 Here are her stats:
weight: 13 lbs. 6.5 oz (30%)
length: 25 1/2 inches (90%)

Here are some things I want to remember about her at this age:
- she loves to be sung to.  It always makes her smile really big
- she laughs mostly at silly noises that we make at her
- she loves when you blow raspberries at her and she blows a lot of raspberries herself :)
- rolling from back to tummy (but she only goes to her left side) and can finally get her arms out too!
- rolling from tummy to back as well
- reaches for toys and is now strong enough to pull down the toys that vibrate
- thinks her sister is the funniest thing ever
- loves to be held, especially facing outwards
- is content to sit in your lap for long periods of time
- likes to stand up while you hold her hands
- nurses 5-6 times a day and 1-2 times during the night
- still gets swaddled to sleep, but often breaks her arms out
- has learned to be quite content in the car
- sits up really well in her bumbo seat and likes her swing for 15-20 minute increments
- favorite toys: o ball with rattles, linking rings, crinkle books, playmat, and spinning wheel on her jumper seat
- in the mornings she will wake up and be content in her bed for a while before she cries.  Or if you starts to fuss, we will turn on her mobile and that will keep her happy for about 15 more minutes
- she doesn't like to eat for her first feeding of the day.  She gets that from Mark who doesn't normally eat breakfast.

the 4th

Charlotte was so excited about the 4th of July.  She remembers the fireworks from last year and she likes to watch the videos of the fireworks last year.  So, when the day finally rolled around this year, she was beside herself.  We started the morning with a parade in our town.  It was a typical small town parade with fire trucks and homemade floats.  However, it was just enough and just the right amount of time to hold Charlotte's attention.  This was the first parade she had been to and she as excited to share the experience with her cousin.

Then we set up camp to watch a fireworks show.  I love this first picture of her taking it all in before it started.  Then, the pictures of her watching the show are priceless.  You can tell from her body language that she was having the time of her life!  I think this little girl is going to love fireworks as much as her mama!
