Catching up

You might be asking yourself, "Where did Hattie go?" The logical answer would be that I have been watching the Olympics. And, while that is true, there is a much more prominent reason I have been absent. It is called Plano ISD. Oh me, oh my! What have I gotten myself into? But, more about that on a later blog. While working my little tail off, I have managed to squeeze in a few enjoyable things over the last few days.

On Saturday, I helped to host a baby shower for my friend RaeAnn. She is going to have a little boy in October, and we are so excited for her and Cody.

On Friday, Justin and Alli had their twins - Jake and Mallory. They are absolutely adorable! We went to see them on Friday, but we didn't get to hold them because they were being taken back to the nursery for a while. Well, I just couldn't stand not getting my hands on those cute munchkins, so we returned on Sunday. We are so excited for you, Justin and Alli! Congrats!

Finally, today I got a wonderful treat at school! My mom sent me a cookie bouquet my first year of teaching, and lucky for me, she decided to turn it into a tradition! So, every year, during teacher inservice week, I am so unbelievably lucky to get this little pick-me-up!
I think I'll go have one now . . .
