Charlotte's Birthday Party

At the beginning of the month, Charlotte turned 3!  I can't believe it!  Knowing that her little sister would only be 3 weeks old at the time, I went for something simple for her party.  Charlotte says every day that her favorite color is pink, so we went with a pinkalicious theme.  A few weeks before her party, I bought her the Pinkalicious book and started reading it to her, so she would be familiar with the story.  We also opted to have it at a local park so that we would not have to worry about the state of our house!  Unfortunately, it was an extremely windy day.  Thanks to the quick engineering skills of Mark and his parents, they were able to put up a canopy and tarp that blocked most of the wind from the food table, presents, and picnic table. Charlotte had a great time playing with her friends, and that is what its all about!

Even Daddy wore pink for the occasion!

My brother help a sleeping Elizabeth the whole time, which was wonderful for me because I could focus on the birthday girl

Later at the house, we gave Charlotte her big gift from us, which was a new bike with training wheels.  It only took her a few days to get the hang of it, and now she can zoom down the sidewalk.  She is growing up so quick and we are enjoying watching her grow!
